Getting bored of EX- Maybe Si?
Hey guys,
Is anyone else getting bored with their car? Im just kinda thinking that im sick of putting all this money into my damn slow automatic civic.
I have been kinda thinking about the new Si's and maybe going to look at an 02. I used to hate them but I kinda like the idea of a hatchback and once i put my rims on it and lower it, it would look nice.
How much money would I loose selling my car and buying like an 02 SI? I went on autotrader and the 02 EX's are going for about 13,900-14,900 and I found some nice Si's for like 15,000. How much more would insurance be also (im 17, male)?
Thanks for the help, I highly doubt it will happen but im just curious.

i HIGHLY doubt you will get 13000 for your ex. maybe like 11.-12
anyways Si is excellent car overall as . obviously most people doesnt like styling of new si bodystyle. just personal preferences. after test driving new si. car was definetly faster than ex. interior is awesome. handling is absoultely fantastic, dont forget about rear disk brakes as well im sure you can get new si for around 17-18 as well. same price as ex. insurance was about same. went up like $3 every month which isnt big deal

love my si.

well, aren't gonna get much gain from a civic N/A civic with just bolt ons. IMO if u are bored with it and u are gonna trade it in, take the money that u would lose on the trade in and put it towards boost.

civicvtec1ps- Yeah, youve kinda gave me the idea. Haha, I think I could get more than 11-12 because I know thats what 99-00 Ex coupes are going for right now. The average 02 EX auto around here is around 14. Though I probably wont get that, thats the going rate.
I probably wouldnt get a new SI, too much more money. But like I said, I probably wont end up doing this. My mom bought me this car and its paid off and all. It just seems like my 02 has alot of problems and the quality doesnt seem that great. I mean its a good car but ya know.
Are they any known problems with the 02 Si's? The ones I was looking at have like 15,000 miles (and i have like 16,000 on my 02 so)

brand new SI's go for $16k easily down here. they're fairly nice cars, but it takes a lot more than rims and a drop to make them look good, IMO.
if you're looking for something fun, though, RWD is the way to go.

but wish i never brought this car, if you currently have an ex i honestly don't think the new si's are worth the upgrade,
here's a list of problems
