stock muffler tapping my Progress rear sway
any ideas on how to fix, besides buying the HKS rear section (im planning to purchase, but not now). i need a quick fix. i was thinking bout acquiring a stock rsx muffler, i think those are shorter than ours and may bolt up, i dunno yet.
i have a brand new Progress 22mm rear sway bar with the tie bar combo. I installed it. but my muffler is like, touching it. and it rattles when it hits the sway bar. (btw, i got the cooler sway bra, the dark grey one, haha) so, any ideas would be appreciated.

You can get a custom cat back that should be able to clear the bar. that should do it for ya. They will run ya about $300-400 with a nice arospeed/5zigen muffler. The muffler shop can bend it out of the way.

Maybe put some duct tape around the part of the sway bar that touches the muffler? Just wrap it up a whole lot and let the muffler slowly eat through the tape. Then replace the tape when it's almost worn through. That should tide you over until you get that HKS exhaust.
