Rep Power: 293 Will Raising The Ring Below The Perch Raise Car With Koni?
I noticed on the Koni strut there are two spaces where the ring can go that hold the perch up. From the manufacturer, it is left on the bottom space, so I kept both of them in that place. I installed the rear only and boy does the car ride like ****. The car actually sagged more in the rear I think. I have a negative finger gap in the back I believe. If I move that ring up will it lift the car up more? I'm afraid it will cause it to break cuz there would be more pressure on the spring.
Oh yea, I did a search, and no I'm not a newbie, I was one of the first 200 members here so don't give me a hard time. I have some common problems I would like to address.
Obviously the rear is sagging a lot
The strut makes a rattling noise when I go over anything not flat
The left strut squeaks in the same situations. I have added silicon spray to stop the squeak, but it refuses to go away.
When hitting bad pavement on the road, like where potholes have been filled the wheel shakes like crazy and feels like I'm about to lose control. Probably an alignment issue though.
Fronts will go on once I find a place that can do the front struts for a reasonable price.

Rep Power: 393 thats the that upper space is there for. to raise the rear if you want to. there is absolutely nothing wrong with putting the perch there. if the rear is sagging, thats what i recommend you do.
as for the noise, its most likely your spring rattling on the perch. i would use spring isolators so that metal doesnt touch metal.

Rep Power: 293 The upper place for the ring is about one inch higher. Will that higher my car an inch then? That would be so nice, cuz I have negative 1 finger gap right now.
