then what do we do if we get the rsx suspention? do we have to get new dampers? we should just still get the rsx ones and mod them... there is a member on this site that has them and the edfc and it works...
Hmm...
What could be the benefit of an EDFC? IMO, I think it's a waste of money. Why in the world would one need to constantly adjust the damper settings? Even the stiffest settings on the Flex is still streetable and comfortable.
I would just like to know why people see it as something they'd need.

but the RSX suspension is a problem...maybe we could just take the 01+ SI's rear brakes and bolt it on with no problems...dunno just speculation.

If u got the money get it if not then dont. U dont need it. People just get it to showoff cus it really isnt helping u out. With that money just get some airstruts with adjustable dampening. With that u can adjust dampening and ride height.

Even for show purposes, I think it's even lesser of a priority.
But I don't get it... why would someone want to have this little box to adjust their damper? Laziness is only an excuse if you're rich.
How often would one need to adjust their ride stiffness? To me, it just looks like one of those toys a kid plays with for a week and then tires of it and eventually finds no use for it later on. Originally posted by robbclark1

On the other hand, I have the SS and it is a pain in the **** to pop the hood and the trunk and play with different settings and sometimes if you miscount, then you gotta take it to the softest or stiffest and work your way back to the setting you want and the same applies for the other side. At least with the EDFC it takes the guesswork out of whether you're set on 12/16 or 13/16. And in a skidpad testing corner, a single click really does make a difference. I honestly just forget what setting I put it on and occasionally adjust it and mentally track it's responsiveness to corners. Now if the SS were compatible, I would get it specifically for easier tracking and compare different results and response for different corners.
Ask me about your mom.

I plan on making an EDFC.
sure, the display will suck, but for under $50/60 CDN, I should be able to get the same thing.
it's a really simple circuit: when you press up, turn the **** up. when you press down, turn the **** down. you just have to send out signals to each of the motors at once. not that tough.
if I could score a memory chip, then I could actually save the setting # it's on, and display it. not too bad.
and it's not just laziness...if I'm driving to work and see someone take the twisty roads, I'll follow them. I want a soft ride on the highway, but when I get off the highway, I want stiff suspension for the fun roads. I would look pretty damned retarded if I got out and adjusted all the struts...

damm, bunch of ballers on this site, thought i was cool with the ss coilovers, now were talking almost 2k for the flex?
with that much i'd just get springs and save a little more for a turbo

stock struts sux...that's all i gotta say...spending the money on SS or FLEX is well worth it...once my warantee runs out, they won't be replacing my struts for free nemore...can i complain to the dealer? or will they use the fact that I can GC coilovers against me?
You modified your suspension so they won't cover it.
They'll blame the GCs about your struts and you can't prove them otherwise cuz anyone knows the stock struts aren't designed for a lowered car.
And even if you raised the car to stock height, the spring rates of the GCs would still cause premature wear on the struts.
