Official Suspension Drop Pictures Post
Re: Official Suspension Drop Pictures Post
i love how people defend these cheap chinese coilovers until they fail then its the other way around. i also think its funny how people say "ive had good LUCK with these coilovers" as if they know there cheap crap and are lucky they haven't crashed yet.

You just enjoy hateing don't you? LOL ( J/K)
Re: Official Suspension Drop Pictures Post
Torn between Eibach Sportlines and Tein S Techs. I want the 1.5"/1.4" drop.
Price is nearly identical. I'll be getting tokico blues in the summer or when the stock shock blow out, whichever comes first.

Re: Official Suspension Drop Pictures Post
Eibach winds springs differently than Tein, which is why you hear about Teins sagging so often but never the same about Eibach. The winding technique also improves performance moderately.

Re: Official Suspension Drop Pictures Post
I've tried to contribute to the suspension forum on Honda-Tech in the past, but no longer have any interest in contributing to that forum. If you use anything aside from Progress, Koni/GC or AMR then it's difficult to receive any respect. One mention that I have Tein coilovers currently or that I once ran Tokico blues, guaranteed I'll be given some rant by one of the five regular posters about paying a JDM tax on the Teins or how Blues are a stock replacement... bla bla bla...
There are budget companies that do a decent job, like Megan, but Blackworks def won't ever receive my respect..
Re: Official Suspension Drop Pictures Post
As a general rule all budget ( and sub-budget,lol) companies do not have the quality control that the top end ones do. So your subject to the; had them forever and they are great -- had them a week and they broke.
I'm on Racelands and asked some guys I know that had them and based on that (and being cheap) I got them and I'm very satisfied.
BUT I would not recomend them to others unless they do research themselves.
Re: Official Suspension Drop Pictures Post
I was thinking of dropping on Rokkors for a while (Racelands with a different spring rate) because really the only person really hating on them hard was lowlife. However, an acquaintance of mine (old high school acquaintance) had his VW dropped on racelands for about 3 years and then one day on facebook he posted that they just all of a sudden snapped. Not gonna lie--I'm cheap but I decided then that being cheap on suspension wasn't safe. I'm not knocking the people that have them--I understand why they're attractive but I am not willing to take that risk with my life.

I have a acquaintance who purchased a car on Racelands, he removed them to upgrade to JIC magics immediately, but during removal he found a large crack in the Racelands. Had he not removed them, they would have failed.
Some people like them, but some people like cut springs as well. I try to base my judgement of coilovers/shocks not on opinion, but the design, shock dyno, spring rates, damper shaft length, and I do not like Racelands or Rokkors.

Lowlife isn't the only one who will hate on them, I will all day long.

My friend was trying to convince me to buy Rokkors but I immediately rejected the idea when I saw the price. The money you save on those is to help you set up a decent funeral.
As an owner of a boosted, b181 swapped EM1, lowered on Skunk2 Pro-S II coilovers, I can't believe he'd recommend such a horrendous product. A kid who attends my college has an '04 Eclipse dropped on Racelands and he absolutely hates 'em.
