Question Older Civic Springs

Ok, I tried to search before putting this up, but I really didn't find anything to help me out. My question is, willl springs from older civics work on our cars? I have a 2002. Now I know tons of stuff are interchangeable between civic, but how about springs? Plus is it worth going for a pair of used springs, for about a $100? If there are posting like this one, could you let me know wht to search for!

Thanks

springs from older gen civics would not fit. older gens have a double wishbone suspension, while ours uses mcpherson struts in the front and wishbone in the rear. as for the used springs, if theyre made for 7thgens then it sounds like a good buy, it depends on how old and how much wear it has though

only older civic springs are 2001 civics... other then that no they will not fit. you might be able to find used springs in the forsale section. i know nytryder were selling his for like $95 or so. you can also get new springs fairly cheap. www.aieonline.com has neuspeeds for $145 shipped.
there is nothing wrong with buying used springs as long as the springs are made by a good company. good company as in h&r, eibach, goldline, neuspeed...
initial question was answered and is a given so...
