whats a dead coil?
i did some research on how to stop the pops and clicks in my springs and someone said if you wrap the dead coils with something it should help and stop the noise. does this sound right? before you bash me for not knowing what a dead coil is just know suspension isnt my area of a car which is why i had my springs pro installed. can someone explain what a dead coil is so i can try this and see if it helps my problem, or even better snap a quick picture and draw a little arrow pointing to it........ok that may be asking to much.

A dead coil is term typically used with progressive rated springs(springs that get stiffer as they compress) where the last few coils are touching each other. Its where the spring coils start to get closer to each other, to the point where they contact. I've heard of peeps using rubber hose or plastic spiral wire wrap in between the coils to act as spring isolators.
