SPC Front Camber

Hi guys...another question...

When I was installing my Tein's this weekend, I was also going to do my front Camber (SPC Camber). The bolt in the SPC Camber was 14MM. The bolt it replaces on the car is 17MM. I thought this might be a little fishy since SPC makes a 17MM front camber.

For those of you with the SPC camber, do you remember the part number or size bolt your camber was? Would we be better off with the 17MM version even if the 14MM version is correct? It only makes sense to me that it should be 17MM...

Matt

Hmmm get a picture of the top spindle bolt and compare it to the camber kit. I forgot if it is 14mm or 17mm The camber kit has a cam on it but I'm not sure how that would effect the size of the bolt head. Post a pic

yes I know that, Im not worrying about the actual adjustment...Remember that game when you were little where you had to put the right shape in the right slot...well putting a 14mm bolt where a 17mm bolt doesn't sit overly well with me~

it's not really a 14mm bolt... it's just a 14mm head. Anyway, I have the SPC camber kit. I don't fully understand what you're saying... stock is actually a 19mm nut and bolt. with the camber kit (you only need one SPC camber bolt on each side btw) the nut is 18mm and the bolt is 15mm. I know these sizes are correct because I was just out there a week ago taking apart my suspension. maybe this is an earlier/later version of their kit I have.

Yeah, see... The bolt has to be smaller for the little camber lobe thingie to work. Otherwise you couldn't adjust the camber. It's a very retarded adjusting mechanism IMO, but it does work. When I get some coilover with camber plates I'll get rid of my SPC front camber kit. Right now it works just fine though.
