Blown shocks Question (this one is a bit DIFFERENT!!!)

is it a true statement to say that you can undefinetly drive on blown stock shocks. sure ride quality is sickening and performance is non existent, but it does not require immediate attention, meaning as long as I can deal with all the characteristics of blown shocks, and drive alittle more carefully, I can drive on them for a few more months? please correct me if i'm wrong. thanks guys.

Sure...in theory you could ride with no springs or shocks. It would be bumpy as hell..but you could do it.

Only in the rear though. Do NOT drive with blown struts up front, I've heard that you can screw up the steering components. My mechanic did say though that it's okay to drive for a little while with bad shocks in the rear on a front-wheel drive vehicle.

very bumpy, and could be slightly dangerous. Say you hit a big dip in the road, your car could bounce so much, it might make you loose control.

ya its not exactly safe... you have a better chance of the tires losing contact with the road when going over bumps and such.

Just go and get a free set of stock shocks... that way you can sell good ones when you get your new ones.
