Full Coilover System - Adjusting

Which coilover system do you have and how easy is it to adjust the system? Please be descriptive of what you have to do...I live in CT so depending on weather, depends on what height I want my car...

Thanks
Matt

i have tein ss
very easy to adjust height. all you really need to do is take out tires. and use adjust tool that came with tein ss , and adjust height.
takes about like 5 mins per wheel.

Exclamation it's not that simple

yea, 5 mins to adjust, but you have to add jacking up the car, jackstands for safety, taking the tire off, and all the above in reverse after the adjustment.

It would take you probably an hour tops to adjust all 4 corners, then you have the problem of wheel alignment changing with the ride height. IMO, too much of a pain in the butt if you want to adjust height from day to day.

FYI, it takes me about 1/2 hour per end to adjust my B&Gs. I'm using a floor jack (not the OEM spare jack, add another 1/2 hour per end if you're going to use that emergency jack).

If you want to adjust your height quickly, then I would suggest an airbag system.

so if like Tein SS, to adjust height, do you need to adjust the damper force too? can anyone explain to me what "damper force" do?

thanks

i think the damper force is the same thing as damper settings. it's to adjust how stiff or soft you want your ride to be. i have B+G's and they're self adjusting. so i cant adjust how stiff i want the ride to be. adjusting the ride height on the B+G's is pretty much the same as TEIN's. you just need that tool.

I also have B+G's, the dampening adjusts itself and the ride is GREAT. as for the height, they spin just like most other coilovers, just like Tein...I didnt have the tool though, i didnt know there was one, its still able to be done without it, but its a big workout on your forearms, mine hurt a lot the next day.
