Question about Exhaust

I want a full exhaust system. Would I buy a Cat back system and a header and then just have Muffler shop connect the header? Or do I get a header and a muffler and have the shop connect it all with custom piping?

depends on u. going custom pipping may or may not save you money, depending on the shop you go to... and the quality may or may not be better than a cat-back. pro's for going custom is u get to choose from a bigger variety of mufflers... but cons is if they do a poor job on the pipping u might lose performance... just make sure its a reputable shop that can do mandrel bent pipping.. the sizing is up to you... I suggest 2.25 inch or 2.5 inch.

unfortunately, u still woudlnt' have swapped out ur full exhaust system completely. because there will be two stock tubes left over... one being the pipping contiaining emission control between the header and the cat. convertor... and of course the other being the cat convertor... the biggest bottleneck, IMO, will be that emission control pipping. grr.
