CAMBER KIT QUESTION???

For those of you who have camber kits on your cars, how much are you guys paying for parts and installation. One shop wants to charge me $300 for an SPC Performance camber kit. This price includes installation, however, the price seems rather steep and so I wanted to know how about how much are you guys paying.

A camber kit alone costs $225-$250. So you're not really getting ripped that badly, if at all.

close but no. front and rear camber is about 175. just the rear is 129 and the front is about 49.( prices include shipping) check groupbuycenter.com.

not sure aobut install but install of springs, camber, and allignment cost about 200 bucks. estimating they charge 50 bucks an hour add that up to the time it takes to install a camber kit.

nuts, i think you made a typo...

you could find both front and rear camber kits for 140 at hondawerx.com
you dont even need the front tho cause we have mcpherson struts up front and the camber is hardly effected. not sure how much hondawerx just sells the rear one for but you should be able to find it for like $125 shipped at groupbuycenter.com

as for installation, ya shops charge alot for some reason.. i have no idea why seeing how the install is basically take off your wheels and replace the control arm which is held on by 3 bolts. just DIY. even if the $300 included alignment its alot...

btw, check out the socal section and add your name to the list if you havnt already... i think spanky is trying to setup a meet in daygo...

go for it. SPC is a very good kit. the labor is a little pricey.

$150 to install??? even if i was big ballin i wouldnt be stoopid enough to spend $150 on install. even $100 is ridiculous...
the front is VERY VERY easy. just take off the wheel and replace one bolt. thats it... $90 for that, you must be out of your ****in mind. sorry for the language but some shops just charge WAAAAY too much for install.
i guess $60 for the rear is not that badd compared to other prices i've heard but $60 is waaay too much for a 10 min job(if you have air tools).

I ended up paying $75 for a set of front and rear SPC camber kits and I installed them myself. I wrote some DIY's on the subject too...

DIY: SPC Front Camber Kit
DIY: SPC Rear Camber Kit Details

If you know where to look you can get this price as well. Hint: Marketplace forum + two sets of front camber kits + money back from selling the extra set on Ebay = $75 shipped
