Neuspeed Rear Upper..

anyone tried getting this on before??
got their directions and....wtf??

only one bolt per side lines up, and due to framing on the seat side (there's a lip there) it doesn't look like it'll work on that side, it'll have to go trunk side..
and the plastic "interior" panels that it says to remove and cut seems easy enuf, until you actually look at the pieces in the car and they don't look nearly as seperate to the rest of the interior as what's in the pictures..

am i missing something??
have a 2002 EX (CanadianSi)

anyone help me out here?
thanx..

IDQcivic should not be trusted
I didn't know the neuspeed rear upper was out yet? Anyways I have the ebay generic one and it fit perfectly. I didn't have to cut any plastic away, it just laid flat on the floor and connects to the tops of each strut tower... are you sure you got the right part number?

copy of their reply..
Hello,
The #35.20.77/77P fits all model Civics from 2001 and up but does not
fit the 2002 Civic Si.
Thank you for your inquiry!

it's supposed to fit into the framing that's between the rear seats and the trunk, taking the flex out of it..

There should be no problems installing it then, might want to call them to see if they know what the problem is.
I know they are out now, because I have the latest catalog but there is no price, mind telling me what you paid?

Thanks

Hello,
The #35.20.77/77P fits all model Civics from 2001 and up but does not
fit the 2002 Civic Si.
Thank you for your inquiry!

Dude, are you sure that you ordered the right part number? #35.20.77/77P is the part number for the Front Upper strut bar.

Rear Upper = 80.20.77/77P
Rear Lower = 45.20.84/84P
Front Lower = 45.20.68

Please correct me if I am wrong, but these numbers are coming straight from the catalog.

thanx, i've re-sent the question to them..
this time giving them the # and description..
i ordered the 35.20.77P and the 80.20.77P
they apparently mistook my original message as asking about front upper, not rear upper..

ya, they did mean what you guys call the Si (our SiR) as not fitting..
same should apply to the rear as well..

**** it, time for some modding..

the catalogue i'm pretty sure showed it being for my car, and the guy i ordered it thru said "sure, no problem" but the TornActive site shows it as only being available for the Si (SiR in Canada..)

update..heard back from Neuspeed and def only for the Si (SiR)

have tried lining it up tho and 2 bolts do line up, so by just drilling 2 holes into the framing (trunk side) i can get it to work..
i'll let you guys know if it makes a difference (any thing that tightens up the body has to )

again guys, thanx for the help!!

hmm. sounds like that one Mugen bar I saw for the RSX...

pricy stuff though.

its diff. than the ebay rear bars.. it doesn't attach on the shock towers (that doesn't really need reinforcing)

I wonder if lower rear tie bar is out. I'm going to email them.
