will lowering 02 model screw up the wheel alignment?
i have a -02 LX and want to lower the car but the dealer told me that since it has newly designed suspension, if i lower it, the wheels will be positioned with an angle so that the inner part of the tire will wear out faster... is this true? how can i lower the car yet keep the tires nice and flat on the ground?? Your dealer is some what correct. Depending on how low you go you may need to install a camber kit. Most say that if you go with a 2" drop or lower that you'll want a front and rear camber kit. If you stay above 2" you most likely will only need a rear kit. Do a search on camber kit and you'll get more info.

anytime you lower the car, the alignments going to be off. this is with any car. mainly the camber is going to be off. the lower you go, the more negative your camber is going to be. you can adjust the camber with camber kits. with a mild drop like 1.2/1.3" you wont need a camber kit. with a 1.75" you might need the rear. for anything lower then 2.25" i recommend both. but yes this has been covered many times, please search. also read the suspension FAQ. btw check out the socal forum, we have meets every now n then
-locked- because its been covered many times
