Rep Power: 0 i installed my airbags!
i finally got around to install the airbags on my car today. 14 hours of blood sweat and dirt but me and my brother in laws dad did it. we put on the bags the other night, then today he ran the airlines while i did all the electrical work. all i can say is wow, i love it, im so glad i got it! i can make the car do anything, drop every corner, whole side, whole front or back, whole car, anything. and it reacts reallly quick. now for the ride quality...when its totally deflated, its so bouncy, worse then my old skunks2's. but, put in a little bit of air and it rides beautifully. i ride around with the bags about half full now, so it looks good on the road and rides good. the best quality is when its all the way up, but it looks like ***. but its my first night with it done and im still just playing with it all the time. so im definetly happy with the set up, except i have to get a new drivers side rear bag because the company didnt seal it right...but itll do until they give me a new one. ill be posting pics in about 2 weeks, but i have to finish my audio first...youll see why

Rep Power: 0 So how smooth is the ride? Does it ride better than coilovers and Konis? Post pics please. Good job on the install. I thought you were never going to get it done.

Rep Power: 0 the install wasnt bad at all really. it was just me and my brother in laws dad that did the whole thing together. the ride quality is a whole let better then my skunk2's, but only when the bags are filled a little. when its deflated its like riding through a jungle. but i love it. and i use 2 compressors to fill the tanks and it doesnt take long to fill up. i never have to wait for it to fill or anything which is a plus. and when my musics up then i cant hear them on at all. im still workin out some bugs and whatever so when my trunk is all finished ill post up the pics.

Rep Power: 0 when im totally deflated, the car bounces like you wouldnt believe, just because theres really nothing there. but when its up halfway it doesnt bounce at all. rides like a dream really. and its way better then stock and 20 times more fun.

Rep Power: 0 Better than stock Looks like I have to hurry and order the bags. Got one other question. Will they last as long as any other suspension mod or will the bags pop or mess up any time soon. Can they last as long as the car last?

Rep Power: 394 i've heard that ya they should last just as long as the car. only reason why it wouldnt, would be misuse or someone actually popping the bag. keep in mind that even shocks blow after awhile too tho.

Rep Power: 0 yeah, like vnlilman said, as long as their installed properly theyll last as long as any other suspension work. i am however having problems with both rear bags because the manufacturer didnt seal them properly, but theyre gonna be taking care of that for me. its one of the first kits they made for our car so i guess theyre still workin on stuff. ill hopefully post pics soon once i go to simplyslb's (stephs) house and she uses her digital. and hopefully shes got a scanner cause i got a model shot from yesterdays show where i raised the whole back and had the front 1/2 inch off the ground, its fuuuun stuff.

Rep Power: 0 where the alluminum and the rubber join, theres a small air leak coming out from where its sealed. its fine for at a show but when u start moving the weight transfer puts pressure on it and its like putting pressure on a deflating balloon, u know what i mean? so i have to adjust the back every so often.

Rep Power: 0 i just talked to the company today and their customer service kicks some ***! theyre sending me new ones and charging it on my credit card, then when i send these defectives ones back theyre reimbursing everything in full and i dont have to pay shipping. not bad not bad. at least it gives me more time to work on the trunk!

Rep Power: 0 Hey civicpunker17, was everything just a bolt on. Did you just replace your springs and struts? If you needed to could you put the factory suspension back on without any modifications?
