I have a 2002 Honda Civic LX that I have recently purchased. I had a question about lowering the front by roughly 3/4 to 1 inch. Does anyone know if I would be in need of a wheel alignment since it’s not that much of a drop and it’s only the front being lowered?

You should align it anyways, an alignment is cheaper than tires
Yeah, figured that, just was hoping I could get away without having to, thanks

My rule of thumb: do you have to remove the strut/tie rod from the strut? Get an alignment.

Once the car is lowered and alignment is reset at the new ride height, you can usually adjust up and down a little without needing another alignment. At least on my Civic and Fit I could adjust the coilovers up and down 1/2" without any noticeable change in alignment.
I think the initial alignment was needed because of riceboy's rule of thumb.
