sway bars ?

i got 2005 sedan dx.. base..

I saw there is mounting points for a sway bar.. but no sway bars and links on my car..

someone correct me if only ex came with front sway bar and links and one for the back?

Can i easily rip one off ex, or use some other honda, i saw somewhere someone used rsx one...?

What are the diffrences between models, and how hard to install i assume the ex OEM on mine.. ?

Is there a cheapo aftermarket?

or RSX cheapo mod?

no thtat my car is freaking race car, but i was gonna put nitrus on it to play... if there is cheap way to add some anti roll would be great...

suspension is stock, and i will keep it stock.. i dont plan on investing **** load of money into suspension, on my old car.

Can i easily rip one off ex
probably quickest and easiest as these cars are more plentiful than RSX.
Get the brackets, bushings, and bolts, everything.

If you are in the rust belt, it may be simpler to buy new end links. Much of the time the old links are already bad or can't be saved.

I believe one off of an RSX is a little bigger then of an Ex so if you could find an RSX that would be best. Just get new endings and poly bushings.

Re: sway bars ?

the stock EX bar is pitiful, don't bother.

i put a progress rear bar and ripped out the front anti roll bar and it still understeer a whole lot more than my miatas.

RSX stock rear bars are 19mm or 21 mm, but since you don't have much love for suspension, a 19mm will suffice.

my progress bar is 24mm, with camber correction front and rear. I still feel the understeer, although now I don't grind the letters of the tire sidewalls, they are wearing up to the lower shoulder with camber correction and higher front camber. (yeah, it's black art )

Re: sway bars ?

i am in nys.. upper nys.. rust belt , snow winters bad ..

hmm, so if i gather everything RSX will fit front and back?

EX obviosly it will..

Not interest in progress sway bar., since its more dollars..
hell i am just playing with this civic.. 275k miles.. top end is refreshed thanks to me bending valves..

So i was going to run nitrus for fun.. i have stock new monroe struts front, and some chinese rears.. which held up better i think than my monroes....

sway bars have to help... I dont understand why u took it out ?

why would i need camber correction, stock suspension, and stock sway bars?

Re: sway bars ?

Keep in mind, if your base model is like mine?, you don't have sway bar link mounts on your rear trailing arms. So you will need either RSX trailing arms, or ones from a different civic model. I was lucky enough to get ones from an '06 RSX, along with the 21mm rear sway bar (all in excellent condition) for $85 shipped. And I picked up a Progress rear sway mount kit and I was good to go!

Remember, if you get RSX trailing arms, you MUST get RSX lower control arms, due to the different 3-bolt pattern.
