04 Si Complete Strut Kit
04 Si Complete Strut Kit
My fiancee has an 04 Si with a clunky front suspension that I want to get fixed before the winter. I have been searching tirelessly to find a strut/spring complete assembly for an easy swap. Advance Auto says the Monroe Quick-strut will fit, but the Monroe website and some others say it wont fit. They only have the Quick-Strut (or Gabriel equivalent) for the rear on an Si. However, the strut alone is the same for base and Si models so I figure it has to be something with the spring or the mounting plate.
Is there a complete front assembly available other than direct from Honda that will fit? The Honda price is like $300 a piece while the OEM equivalent complete strut kits are less than half that.
I used the KYB complete strut kit on my own Mazda 3 and I drive it hard with no issues so I dont need a sales pitch on why the complete systems are worse than manufacturer parts. I have spring compressors and all the tools needed to replace just the shock absorber portion, but I would rather this be a quick swap job than an all day event.
Thanks

Re: 04 Si Complete Strut Kit
check the rsx a-spec, they are complete, oem and much stiffer then stock, and cost about 600 for both front and rear. fit perfectly on the si with slight modifications
