Tie Rod End

I have to replace the tie rod end on my passenger side. What is the difference between the inner and outer tie rod end? The job seems pretty easy. Is there a posted DYI? I tried to find one through searching but was unsuccessful. Thanks.

Re: Tie Rod End

Here is a great link for the outer tie rod end, the guy is using rsx tie rod ends on his 04 civic due to his rsx suspension, BUT the process is the exact same.

Re: Tie Rod End

If you do one side the other is probably not too far behind.
Plus you WILL need an alignment after replacing one, so why not just do both and get one alignment.

The one you describe is the outter, the inner is further in closer to the rack, and alot harder to get at.

Re: Tie Rod End

^ I think you mean tie rod and tie rod end? Tie rod is the actual rod and Tie Rod end is what is being replaced in this DIY.
