Need Front Suspension HELP! Cant Drive!!
So i just installed my front coilovers and everything went good except for one major thing, my front 2 wheels move in and out and dont stay straight. Also when i was reversing my car down my driveway and i barely turn left it turns the full wheel automatically, same with turning right. I need help asap because i cant even drive. I still need to do my rear. I checked my lug nuts and they are tight. One thing i also noticed is the coilovers are tilted outwards. Please help ASAP!!!

One thing I also noticed is that with the wheels off and the steering wheel perfectly straight that one side is perfectly straight and the other side is turned out words more and when i ever i try to push that side in the other side moves outward and that side becomes straight.

So it would be ok to drive on? Would anything like my axles mess up? Firestone is like 5 or 6 miles from my house.
Re: Need Front Suspension HELP! Cant Drive!!
It looks to me that your tie rod end castle nuts aren't tightened down properly at all...are they good and tight? I'm not sure of torque spec but it should be fairly snug. I had a similar issue as you, only less severe, that turned out to be one of my tie rod ends not being properly tightened. Once those are good and tight, get an alignment.
Re: Need Front Suspension HELP! Cant Drive!!
I just replaced the entire suspension on my 01.
Couple of tips: make sure that the tie rods (and ends) are secured properly (proper torque I believe is 60ft/lbs) and make sure the cv axle and ball joint both are looking good (it's a good time to replace them if they look like they've torn at all). Also make sure the strut mounts (and struts) are facing the correct way (there should be lines that mark the correct direction, but if there isn't you'll have to line them up yourself by determining the correct angle that matches the metal cover under the hood). I know I had a similar issue and when I'd turn I'd hear popping noises and even screetching noises at times and couldn't think of what could be the issue until I replaced the mounts and now everything is perfect! Don't do the alignment until after you're done messing with the suspension though cuz if you get it done and go back in, you'll only need another.

I've been following your quest SSM. I hope you get it figured out, I'm ready to do the same thing.
I agree with olsen. The might try retracing your steps to at least get the wheels even before an alignment instead of having to pay twice, or the mechanic finds something that cost more money. (especially at Firestone).
