Well... We can't be 100% sure they are the wrong struts. It's only a suggestion at this point. It's hard to diagnose this kind of stuff over the internet.

I dont come here too often nowadays, but I happen to see this. I just recently just got Tokico D specs about 2 months ago, it mine is just as long. I didnt even know that it hit my hood until I noticed some black marks that are on the cover cap. Right now its just left a indent on my hood, structural brace part, not a big deal. Not sure if anyone else is using the cap. Also, it seems like you have 2 nuts on the strut.

As for that messed up looking top hat, get that checked soon.
