Re: Help a noob lower his car!

yeah, I've heard a few tales of Teins sagging, but most of those instances were caused by not having the proper shocks installed or the wrong adjustments. I've heard plenty more complaints about the H-techs sagging than S-techs and it only seems to be a problem in the rear, more commonly on 6th gens or 7th gen sedans.

And, about that first link i had, those will not fit a 2003-05. That's why the price is so low. I've tried emailing the seller asking if they have compatible shocks, but they haven't responded after 3 days (that's not a good sign for me as a buyer). The next links I posted actually are the cheapest combo I can find, shipping included.

They will fit an 03-05 with a very small amount of modification if I'm not mistaken (looking for someone to confirm this)

If nothing else--check what product number struts fit your car from tokico's website. Then compare the number to the ones for sale.

The rears would be the same on both years, but the fronts are different. I'd rather not have to do any modification either. On the 03-05, even the fronts are differenct from left and right. Haha, this is confusing stuff.

Re: Help a noob lower his car!

I already gave up searching for coilovers. I'm not looking to spend all that much for something I won't use to its full potential. Coilovers would be more deemed for a track day car than a daily driver in my opinion.

I got a reply, albeit an obviously computerized and unintelligible sounding message, back from the Ebay seller who had the combo set and they do not have the proper shocks for an 03-05 even though their listing claims that it will fit. Therefore I'll be going with 2 separate purchases. Maybe by the end of April when the rims go on.
