How much $ for struct/shock spring installation?

I been looking for local shop to install my setup but they wanna charge me $400-$500 for it. I saw most of you guy got it for like $100 Max. Is it me or those shop wanna rape me for my money. I would do the install myself but I just don't have time and equipment for it. Anyone who live in GA know any good shops?

300-500 sounds about right. It's about a 4 hr job plus a good shop will do a car alignment afterward

I've never seen an suspension install for $100

I know a few shops that have given people deals and lowered cars for $100, but the standard labour rate would be $80/h plus an alignment which makes $400-500 totally reasonable.

The tools you need to do it yourself would only cost $100 and it only takes a few hours.

A suspension swap was the first "major" job I ever did on my car.. A 17 year ol me and a 15 year old friend, with no real mechanical experience. Took 4 hours in a driveway. It's actually really easy.. The hardest part is separating the tie rod from the front strut

Follow the spring install DIY guide and you'll be fine. I'd do it myself if I were you

I would like to also work on the car myself but with my work, I just dont have the time. I did read over the DIY and it looks pretty simple. Guess I just have to wait till I have time.

I got mine installed for about 200-250. He was pretty cool and didn't mind that I wanted to get my own Tokicos (I found them cheaper online than through his supplier) and the installation price stayed the same. I'd look around more if you have any other shops in your area.

x2 on this one...

I installed the coilover setup on my first car when I had absolutely no experience and very few tools and it wasn't very difficult.

It's a great learning experience and you'll save yourself some money that could go into other mods...

I can't remember the seller's name, but it was the Tokico HP Blues, full set. Cost me about $350 w/free shipping.

struts dont lower anything. their job is to dampen. the springs are what lower the ride.

Ditto, it's the springs. Ended up lifting me a bit since my springs were already gone. They weren't holding me up for ****.
