04-05 HFP Suspension in 02 coupe
04-05 HFP Suspension in 02 coupe
Hey guys i was looking into getting HFP suspention for my 02 civic, and found that it is impossible to find 01-02 suspention, but i did find quite a few people selling 04-05 HFP (PN#08W60-S5P-100A). I was wondering if it was at all possible to get this suspension to work with my civic, and what modifications would be necessary. I think (but im not sure) that you can just swap the knuckles from and 03-05 and they should bolt in.

I'm assuming $550 is just the struts and shocks, correct?
If it is just the dampers, then that's way overpriced, they're just an OEM strut with slightly different valving. Add the additional cost of buying a set of 01-02 knuckles and your around double the price of tokico hp struts.
If your seriously interested in performance and prefer stiffness over a smooth comfy ride, then look into any tokico, kyb AGX , koni yellow or bilstein*expensive.

Actually, i think they had the springs slightly stiffer. not sure of the price, though. Add the knuckles and you will have a little more cash there. Should be slightly stiffer than stock, balance was same, so understeer. could ride better than spring/shocks or coilovers?
Anyway, i believe i heard you could use some reducer whashers so you could get away with stock knuckles. Keep in mind i Never seem them, so not sure if they are safe, though.

I can make anything fit with a torch and my miller, also did not ask any opinions on the setup, and did do a search and found 1 topic that did not detail exactly how you would do it. (https://www.civicforums.com/forums/4...elp-hfp-2.html) Oh and i can get a the setup for 550 from the dealer near me so i don't know how that is so overpriced. if you want to lock the thread that's fine i will go somewhere else for advice
yea do it.
and it doesnt matter if u ask or not, opinions are like asses, everyone got them and since its a public forum, too bad soo sad
