Re: 2003 Civic EX LIFT!?
Calling a spring manufacturer is the best bet to find springs used in other cars that might work in his car.
Maybe they will not be stingy and could even indicate a spring that he can get in a scrapyard.
Worng springs could get really messy with coilbind before the bumpstops touch, and go metal-to-metal contact.
Re: 2003 Civic EX LIFT!?
i don't even know why you'd need more space under there if you'r not going off road off roading, and just large rock off roading. the stock clearence is like 6inchs. plus use larger tires and you could get it to 8 inchs easy. you can use tires that are as tall as your outer wheel lip liner and i think it was 7inchs in width but someone will have to tell you that has more tire knowledge. as well if you have the stock body kit side skirts that came on some of the higher end ex's take them off. they make it look lower but the actual exhaust and underbody is two inchs higher then the side skirts.

easy 1 inch lift, remove strut/spring get a hockey puck and place between top of strut/spring and the body where the strut/spring mounts back up to, lol redneck lift. Or just change your car over to air bags.

Re: 2003 Civic EX LIFT!?
Just throwin this out there. I bought an 88 s15 4x4 that didn't run for $300 off craigslist, fixed it for $150, and I only drive it when it snows or I go somewhere with sketch roads.
Now I don't need to worry about my bumper becoming an impromptu snow plow blade, or beating up my car on dirt roads. Well worth the investment in my eyes.

FWD or RWD?
Universal 2'' lift
RWD 3''-5'' lift
FWD 3'' lift
Its possible, and leaves a lasting impression.

For $900 he could just buy coil overs and get the extra height, and there has never been a RWD civic.

Re: 2003 Civic EX LIFT!?
those aren't stock, they're are custom. Those kits were designed for low riders who run massive rims, they work well for those set-ups, but I would never use it on a civic.
Btw..
