Question Dropping is a Pain!

Alright so I've compiled a list after hearing from many of you. I thought I could just drop my car lol, but it seems a lot needs to be replaced when doing so. Please check out the list that follows and let me know if anything I list is not needed or add anything that you think I may need. Thanks for everything guys.

Tokico Blues
Eibach SportKit
New Mounts*
New Bearings*
New bushings*
Camber Kit
Lower Control Arm Bushings*
Swaybar Endlinks*

Parts with stars- Can you suggest a brand or where to get them for a relative low cost?

Re: Dropping is a Pain!

u dont really need half of that for a proper drop.

blues, sportkits and a camberkit is enough. then get it aligned...

the bushings, bearings, control arms are just more for if u want that every last bit of performance handling

....but if u really wanted handling blues/sportkits are not the way to go. they suck compared to yellows/GC or some tein flex or SS.

Re: Dropping is a Pain!

overkill indeed on the unnecessary parts...but depending on the climate you live in, your mileage, wear and tear and if your existing suspension has seen better days or your experiencing knocks, rattles and bangs you must have over studied for this test my friend...you have a good parts list though!!!

Re: Dropping is a Pain!

you can either change it out all together, or just do the springs/shocks/camber and then wait as parts start to break one by one. none of those stock components were made to handle a lowered ride height and will not last very long. if you dont do the strut mounts which are cheap and easy while replacing the shocks, then you will have to redo the entire install when you start hearing clunking sounds later. the lca bushings are prolly already broken anyway, or they will be soon. you could keep the stock endlinks i guess til they snap if you want to save some $$>

and after all this, you wont have to worry about anything for at least 5yrs, when you might need new shocks (and possibly alignment check every year just to be safe).

Can I not just go to NOPI.com and get an Eibach Anti-Roll Kit and/or a full LCA or Sway Bar instead of just buying these new boots and mount pieces to fit onto my stock stuff?

my feelings exactly when my top mounts started to clunk just after the springs/shocks install. twice work in 2 weeks was not fun really.
The LCA bushings could pass for a quick visual check, but have compliance bushings in hand already.

one of my LCA did broke, so i cahnged both with the bushings, not sure which would be cheaper.
If whole arm is cheapaer than the work of swapping bushings, you could do them and have spares to install poly bushings later.
got mine for 100 something, not sure where but was internet site.

oh, crap, i included the bearings because i was thinking on the bearings on the top mounts - no, you don't need the bearings unless you hear the "whoooo" sound.
