Re: Question: Better drop 1.0 or 1.4.?

This really depends on u, I have Eibach Pro-Kit and I think the ride is still high, i shud've went with sportlines instead. But on plus side I never rub anywhere, I don't need camber kit, My exhaust stays intact, I can easily go over bumps without any worries, on top of that I can drive rough and really fast!

However I do beleive I cud've done all that with sportlines too and the drop wud've been decent.

yeah man, go with sportlines. check my thread in the members ride section to get an idea on how they will look. just know that ur car will "look" a little higher with 17's.

Re: Question: Better drop 1.0 or 1.4.?

i wish i was lower too but then i think of how messed up my exhaust, lip kit, and ride quality will be with even lower springs. right now 1 inch is almost too much. but most of the time i dont scrape anywhere and i can drive my car like normal. i dont mind the harsh bumpy ride anymore either and i only have 15 inch rims. i might throw up with lower drop and bigger rims lol. even with my current setup my mom gets carsick from all the hard bumps and motions lol.

Re: Question: Better drop 1.0 or 1.4.?

I think you'll be happier with sportlines for the 1.4" drop. I have H&R Sports (1.5-1.7" drop) and I love them. The ride is a little bumpy, but feels AWESOME in corners! Of course you need to slow down for speed bumps, but I have yet to scrape my HKS exhaust or bottom out anywhere. I have 17s as well. I did have to get a camber kit and slightly roll my rear fenders (I have a DIY on here somewhere...) to ensure proper alignment specs and no tire rubbing.

Re: Question: Better drop 1.0 or 1.4.?

whatever you do, get aftermarket shocks to match the springs. it will be the difference between taking speedbumps sideways or straight on. stock shocks will sag like crazy esp in the rear.

I second that. I have seen too many knuckle heads out here try to do it half way and it never works out for them.

I would never lower any car without fully adjustable coilovers & camber adjustment plates.

Re: Question: Better drop 1.0 or 1.4.?

well dude i would recommend getting full coilovers so you can adjust the height and see what works for you. www.procivic.com has some awesome prices on coilovers! Just remember that the lower you go, you'll need a camber kit. They have those too. Just check it out...

Don't do it save more money ... fwiw my buddy exturbo6 (Steve) I believe has them mated with bilstein shocks and says they are ok just stiff but he loves the drop if thats what you want them for.
