Was wondering if anyone has the knowledge to tell me what if i swap OEM stock shocks, structs, for TEIN SS Coilovers would these new coilover kill my suspension on my 17's? Keep in mind i dont have a camber kit. How low can i drop? and most impotantly what are the benefits of having coilovers over shocks.

the coilovers ARE your suspension. if your worried about tire wear, just make sure u get an alignment and dont go too low if u dont want to get a camber kit. It is advisable to at least get the camber kit in the rear. How low you can go will depend on how big your tires are, if ur fenders are rolled, if u have fat friends, if the roads around you are shitty, and if ur willing to angle and be extra careful. The benefits of coilovers include a stiffer ride that handles better, and plus u can adjust the height to your liking.

The tien ss is ur shocks and strut..Im on tien ss. And 17s as well. And I love it.
And I set it kinda low and I have no problems with it at all. =) or soo far. *knock on wood*
But I notice u always have a gap even when u drop the front till there's no more thread left.
And I think u can go more lower in the back. Than the front... But that's justs me.

i had Tien springs on my 01 civic, not the coil overs tho... not bad springs, I wish i would have gone with adjustable coil overs, I needed a rear camber kit, i got one off ebay, it worked very well, and easy to install, and for 30 bucks its well worth it.
