today i payed a company to move my apt to a townhouse... i was mentioning that i wanted to lower my car an inch, and he said he knows a way for 40 bucks. so I was all ears... turns out, at least of what i understood; basically he was saying to put spring compressors on them while they're still on the car and leave them on. I was thinking in my head... that's not what those are for.

i did that with my 02 accord. it ended up costing me my whole car (totalled) 3 mins of driving after i cut the springs...

it messes up the spring compression n stuff....bad idea....costed me my car

cutting the springs or heating them up isnt bad IF you know what youre in for...

but for the most part, you need to get properly engineered springs...

Cutting the springs reduces their strength greatly, the compression and load they're rated to take gets cut down significantly. So much, that it makes it dangerous.

while i was installing my s techs i wondered if you could cut the stock springs. so i tried took about an inch and a half off measuring vertically. but the rears wouldnt line up in the seat. so i didnt even try the front
