depends on what you want.
if you are really picky about the stance and gap of your car then go with coilovers - since they are adjustable.
if you do not really care and want a more comfortable ride then go with springs and shocks. Personally for me I had 17 inch rims 45 tires on Tein S techs and i was not happy with the drop at all. If your rims and tires were smaller, the drop would look a lot lower.

Don't forget about the driving conditions in your area. Gotta consider weather conditions around the year. If you got no snow or just plan on driving your coupe during the summer time and you really want a noticeable drop, then pop those coilovers in. Otherwise, as kcari said, a comfortable ride would be a set of shocks and springs (Tein or whatever you want).
