I think that you could get away with using the EX mounts for the RSX bar, but you definetly need the bushings for the RSX bar, since they are sized to fit the 19mm bar. The EX bushings (15mm) would probably be too small.

sicsol: so to install the rear anti-sway bar from the RSX onto an 01 Civic EX, you just need to jack the car up and unbolt the thing, then bolt the new one in right? i mean, is there any kind of tension on the bar so its hard to install/remove? also, about how much does the RSX's anti-sway bar weigh?
also, how did you know what torque to use when tightening the bolts back up after installing the anti-sway bar?

<< Here are the Acura part numbers for those with an EX:
52300-S6M-A01 Spring, RR. 19 (1 of these)
52306-S6M-A01 Bush 19MM (2 of these)
52308-S6M-000 Holder, R. RR. (1 of these)
52309-S6M-000 Holder, L. RR. (1 of these)
That is all you will need if you have an EX.

so the part that they call, "Spring, RR", is the actual sway bar itself? its 60bucks, what does RR mean, usually right rear, but if this is the sway bar why would it say right rear as opposed to just rear.

slikor: Remember to get the torque specifications by doing a little reverse engineering. Set a torque wrench to a certain torque level and try to unbolt the bolt. If if doesn't come off, then up the torque and try again. Eventually you'll be able to unbolt it and you'll know the approximate torque to use when bolting it back on.

im pretty sure the convention that places like AcuraAutomotiveParts and HondaAutomotiveParts use is as follows:
RR. = Rear
R. RR. = Right Rear
L. RR. = Left Rear
FF. = Front
R. FF. = Right Front
L. FF. = Left Front
Grey: thanks
...i just wanted to know if sicsol had any figures he found for the torque specs
RR. = Rear
R. RR. = Right Rear
L. RR. = Left Rear
FF. = Front
R. FF. = Right Front
L. FF. = Left Front

Only thing holding me back from this mod is as soon as I install it, I'm afraid Neuspeed will release their sway bars that are "in development" at the moment. Wish we knew the specs on the Neuspeed, I don't see how it could be any "better" so to speak. Also, I think it's real cool to have genuine Honda/Acura parts whenever possible. hmmmm decisions, decisions.

usually I am a torque king. I torque everything, but since I didn't have the specs I just tightened them enough to be considered tight (I didn't want to have to break my back to get the thing off if it didn't work). And so far there is no clunking in the rear. As for how i installed it, if you refer to the pics that Grey hosted, there is a pic of how the jack and the stands were set up. With the wheels hanging there is hardly any tension on the bar. It is probably one of the easiest mods I have done so far. Just for comparison, I would say it was much easier than putting on my AEM CAI.

..... ok then, guess we're using different definitions of "spring" here. I suppose that if you think about it, anything that absorbs and re-deflects energy could be called a spring, so I guess that's what it is.... thanks!

I calculated that a 22mm rear sway bar is just a little more stiff than it should be for the rear. The 19mm is way too soft. That's if we don't upgrade the front sway bar.

Here are the correct part numbers when ordering from http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.net:
35902 - SPRING, RR. (19MM) (need 1)
35948 - BUSH (19MM) (need 2)
35958 - HOLDER, R. RR. (need 1)
35971 - HOLDER, L. RR. (need 1)
Look for the "Rear Lower Arm" section on that site.
Total cost for those parts is $78.37 plus shipping.

Hey sicsol... This is great, I'm glad it was tried. Let me just get one thing straight... This is just a direct Swap of the EX bar to the RSX-S bar right? I don't have to move anything or re-drill any holes? I would bet having a front upper strut brace would also help to counteract the stiffer rear right? Last question.. Where is the jack point on the rear end? I can't find it. $79 for parts is much less than Neuspeed will probably charge for the same bar with a logo on it.
