Coilover Fitment Problem

Here it goes, i first bought Ground Control Adjustable Coilovers thinking im a get Koni's....i ordered the GC's made especially for the Koni's but i couldnt afford to get Koni's just yet...but as time went on...i asked around and ive read that you need a shop to put them in..well it turns out that no one in my area can put them in, so people said the GC's would fit the Tokico Blues..so im like great i can do this myself then since the Tokico's just bolt in...well this is whats going on...i got my Tokico HP Blue's today and the sleeve wont fit..or am i just a noob..

looks like the GC model made for the Konis, only fits them. There is another model of GC's made for oem/all other struts. So, if you wanna stick with the GC's, you need to get the other model of them. I would double check with the retailer on the skunk 2's also, and make sure they fit blues.

Is it possible to pull off the top cap of the strut, install the sleeve, then replace the cap? It looks to me that this is the only answer.

The ground controls that I have came from a member on this site. They where installed on a set of factory shocks. I had to remove the cap on the factory shock to get the front sleeves to come off. In removing the cap I destroyed it and the shock tube. I do not want to harm the cap on the Tokicos so, if anyone knows how to install the ground controls, I would appreciate the info and if anyone knows how to safely remove the cap on the shock and then replace it. This too will be appreciated.

I wouldn't pop that cap off if I were you, that could damage the seal that holds all that gas in. I just put blues on my car and I don't think that it could handle that much of a drop. Those Ground Controls don't look like they leave much room for the piston rod to travel if you manage to get that sleeve on there. Look how small that spring is and then look how far that piston has to push in, in order to mount your pillow mount. You might blow your strut prematurely. It doesn't look right to me.
