Drop question

So I will start like this.

When me and a friend were down in Orlando working last year, we were doing somethings to our vehicles, and he decided he wanted to drop his grand am with his 17's on it. So, he took it to this place, and they burned the bushings or something? I dunno, whatever they did they really messed his suspension up. My question is what is the right way to do it, because ultimately all I wanted is to throw some rims on, put front and side lip and then drop it.

Just get some lowering springs. But you will probally need a camber kit too.
