eiback pro kit
eiback pro kit

i remember it was either them or a member here that said the eibach pro kit will be fine with the OEM struts as it wont put much stress as compared to the sportline kit, neuspeed sport/race, etc. but that still doesnt mean your struts has a chance to blow.
i personally run eibach sportlines/koni yellows and love it.

I would just buy some sort of aftermarket shocks and struts. You don't want to change your shocks and struts shortly after lowering the car. Its a waste of time if your doing the install yourself. Its a waste of money if your paying someone to do the install. You would have to pay someone to lower your car, and say you end up blowing the suspension. Then you would have to buy new suspension, and pay to install that as well.
I would also just go for aftermarket struts and shocks to reduce bouncing. I would hate to ride on stock shocks and struts, bouncing around everywhere.
I'm pretty sure you make any suspension fit 03-05 even if says 01-02 only. The only differences is the bolts on the front struts. 14mm for 01-02, and they are bigger on the 03-05's (16mm instead). All you have to do, is increase the size of the hole on the front struts to 16mm. I did that with my struts, and they work fine. Lots of members with 03-05 have done that as well.
Remember, this is just my opinion. You can do whatever you feel is right though. I say "if you're going to do something, do it right the first time".
thank you guys for such quick and helpful responses. since my friend has a shop with a spring compressor(it think thats what they are called) and wont charge me anytihng i will stat off with just the springs my car it has 65000 on it and i hope it will last another ten to fifteen as far as the struts and shocks.
Your stock struts will be fine. I have an 03 with 230,000 kms on it (144,000 miles). I bought the car new and had the pro-kit installed by the Honda dealership before I picked it up. I have had no problems, I originally had 17's on it (205/40's), 15 steelies in the winter with snows and now run 16's
(205/55's) in the summer.
All combinations worked fine but the 17'2 ride too hard, they all do because of the minimal sidewall. The 16's ride really nice and the combination with the springs gives it nice grip. The ride is important to me as I travel alot for work, it is not a modded out 7th gen by any means but this combo provides a more agressive stance than stock for sure.
Post some pics when you get it done.

I just got my blues put on w/ my pro kit, and the ride is ten times better than stock
The ride is far more stable, and bumps are felt way less than stock shocks... and as far as the drop looks w/ 14" stock steelies go w/ a prokit VVVV

yeah.. after a while the rear tires were getting bad so they put the SPC kit on too. I would say you don't HAVE to have it.. but I just want the longest possible life for my tires. The shocks are nice tho, there's a speedbump going to my house, and now I don't have to absolutely crawl to get over it

lol hey, you cannot simply rotate those tires 03blackcivic.........
they are directional tires, which mean they only go one way....
so if u want to rotate, u needa put rear tire up front, and front tire to the rear.... no crisscrossing

The front and side skirts are oem sedan (veloz) ones (fit coupe), the back one is also a oem skirt.
Yes, that's batman, I have two young boys.........that is for them (just fro fun). Good eye, most people don't pick up on them as they are subtle.

Oh yeah, as for the Michelin's going the right direction, this is an old pic, was fixed.....Honda actually put them on this way....go figure. Right now I am riding on my 15 steelies/x ice combo until the snow is gone.....
Re: eiback pro kit
i think the prokits only give you about a inch drop?? you should be fine for a while. i used to have the sportlines and that gave me about 1.4 inch drop and my shocks were fine for a while. and keep in mind that springs will sag a little over time
Re: eiback pro kit
i run the pro kit with the kyb agx's and love the ride. its 10x better than stock and still has the sproty feel of a lowered car but is pleanty soft enough for a long drive. considering the shocks are adjustable a well you can tune to your liking. i run 225/40/18 with them with out any rubbing, but my rear lip is shaved down as well
