Sedan spring install question
I'm going by Mex's amazing spring install DIY....
And I've run into some sedan specific troubles. (And I've searched)
The secret compartment, which can only be accessed once the piece between the seat and the door is removed.... How do you get that piece off? I removed the trunk liner, but I still don’t see any clips holding it on? I have total access of the top strut bolt, and 2 of the 'holding bolts' but I cant find the 3rd one!
Help! Installing the rears tomorrow morning

the rears only have 2 bolts, the fronts have 3. What springs are you using? I just installed my rears today and you might have trouble getting the left strut back into the mount, just cuz the the gast tank is in the way. But i have a sedan, so it might be diff. for the coupe
I've got the sedan also... (Check the title of the post
)
Did you go through the 'secret compartment'?
Or did you just try to get in there with a long extension?
And I'm using Goldlines

There is no secret compartment for the sedan. You just have to pull back the liner in the trunk to access the tops of the struts. It's two nuts each. 14mm I think.

i believe your talking about taking off the outer pieces of the seat back, right?
if so...there are bolts on the bottom of that piece that go into the body
get yourself a 6"-9" socket extension
push down on bottom part of the rear seat
you should be able to see the bolt which i believe to be a 10 or 12mm
take it off
pull bottom towards you
push up until it pops out
(you might need to reach around to the truck area and give the plastic tab on the rear deck some incentive)
once you get that piece off, you should have better access
also, a 14mm deep socket will work the best when taking off those nuts on the top mount
