Rep Power: 238 ok well i did what the sticky said. we even checked the bearings to make sure they were ok.. fixed the right side so that doesnt make a noise anymore.. the left side however still makes a clunking sound when steering all the way to the left. its lined up with the arrows on top even. I have the progress springs w tokico blues

are there any other markings on the stock struts and top mounts, like white lines or whatever? mine had the arrows and lines on it, you have to line it up perfectly from the the stock to the tokico

Rep Power: 387 If you put them on tokico's there is no need to index. Make sure that the springs are seated correctly and bearings are lubed.

Rep Power: 238 lubed the hell outta the Right one.. but got dark before pulling the left one.. also on the springs there were rubber pieces that wrapped around the spring itself. we put this on the 2nd coil from the bottom on the right one and it stopped making the noise.. gonna lube the left one and put the rubber thing on the coil.. looks like the powder coating got rubbed .

Rep Power: 262 My suspension did the same thing until I fixed it...lol.
Well, this is what fixed my problem. I had the exact same problem. When turned fully to the right or left, bang bang sound. Sounded like a broken ball joint.
Anyways this is what I did. I re-torqued the two 16mm (14mm for 01-03 vics) bolts that are at the bottom of the struts. Both sides where tighten too much. I put 116 lbs/ft torque (that's what the FAQ here says), and they don't make that banging sound any more.
Try that see how that works out.
