Noise After Installing Progress Front Bar

I'm also using Grey's endlinks. For what it's worth, it's the 27mm front, solid Progress bar. The noise happens usually after a bump or some uneveness in the road. I have yet to hear it in the bends.

I wouldn't mind the noise if it was a track machine, but this is a daily driver. Any suggestions or hints would be appreciated.

is it the v.1 or the v.2 of Grey's endlinks....1.) it could be that the endlinks are touching metal if they dont have the urethane protector. the Hotchkis have that to fix any problem with noise. i have the front and rear Progress bars in my room, but im waiting for some Hotchkis endlinks. i want top-line since oem is flat-crap! but you're probably hear a noise when the metal touches the parts on the endlinks. i read its a common problem with Grey's which made me go with Hotchkis!

BTW...i was watching the Red Sox win the World Series on 10/30/2004....

I just purchased some neoprene washers from Home Depot. I'm going to put a few on where the endlinks meet the sway bar and the control arm. There's no urthane washers with the Grey's kit (or from Progress from that matter).

It sounds just like that too... metal against metal.

BTW, good game, eh?

Hopefully I see them win it again in my lifetime.

yeah it was a stunning come-back sweep. who wouldve guessed that it would happen with the loss a game away for 4 straight games. Damon's beard or Schillings sock lol. i know theyll win again...but for my fellow Brave's..err...they're doin a lil bad. the Red Sox play them in May or June, cant wait to goto that game.
im getting the Hotchkis in a couple weeks. ill post up how it feels with them. do you know where to get a good rear upper tie bar?

Awesome. The old Boston rivalry. Too bad the Braves own the Sox in interleague play...

Even after installing some neoprene washers, there's still some noise. It's more annoying than anything else. The car is much more level in turns and feels more responsive when giving some aggressive input.

I purchased an upper strut tower bar off eBay. I think it's a Megan or Mugan replica brand. But it was only $5...

Def. post up on how you like your Hotchkis links. I can't deal with the noise anymore!

well you dont NEED to erplace them, but it is RECOMMENDED that you replace them. throught the trouble i hear that it is to get off the rusted parts and all its better to replace them, so at least the wont be prone to breaking. im ordering my Hotchkis this thursday or friday, and they will eliminate the problem that most Grey's links have with noise. but yes, replace them, the bars are must stiffer...
