Got the Wiggles

ok ive been searching for a few days on this and cant find a satisfying answer to the problem i have. I notice it most when lets say going on a freeway overpass, i hit the seams in the road while the car is in a corner, and it throws the balance of the car all off, it " wiggles" like the car is shaking its ***. Anyone know what may cause this?
im running eibach sportline springs, koni yellows, and ventus tires, the tires are aired to 40psi.
if anyone has a solution please lemme know
any help is appreciated

Your tires are at 40psi cold or hot? I doubt it'll make a difference, but you might want to lower your tire pressure to I think 30 or 35 psi.

Lower the tire pressure and consider slowing down.
The car is unloading.

I have the same problem... at about 60+ MPH if I have to swerve for any reason my car does the same thing. It’s not very confidence inspiring lol.

Megan coilovers
19mm RSX rear sway bar
Toyo Proxes4 tires @35PSI

My car also did this with my S-Tech and KYB AGX setup, next im gonna be replacing my front compliance bushings because they are cracked really bad and that cant help.

Hey guys,
The problem is probably the rims you have....just like me! I have 18" BSA racing rims with ventus tires. The manufacturer bores the center hub to a standard size on alot of rims....this "standard" size is too big for our hubs....to fix this balancing problem they usually have HUB-CENTRIC rings that will fix this problem.....(although for myslef ive yet to find anyone who makes them to fit the BSA rims with my civics hubs......very $hitty indeed!!!! and yes my car "wiggles" at about 60 and on a sharp turn....so i suspect this may be your problem?! Good luck

Instablility while hitting bumps in a turn is usually a damper issue, but it could be that your suspension bushings are shot... and considering you've got konis I'd stat with checking out the condition of your bushings.

^^^^ Is 100% correct . I would start looking for worn/loose parts. Does the shake go away after you come to a stop and then wont do it again untill just the right bump/imperfection in the road?

My car does it whenever there is a bump in mid turn or if I turn the wheel back and forth and high speed. I just ordered Energy Suspension bushings for front and rear. I hope they help. If not, they where needed anyway LOL.

^^^^^^^^ same as him at speed a slight back and forth of the wheel results in an over exhagerated wiggle from front to back. I have checked everything so far and it all looks fine. The Konis on there are recently installed so im not sure why that would be a problem. Maybe an indexing problem of the springs and shocks? How does that energy suspension bushing kit affect the ride quality, i dont want it to be super harsh. Its already stiff

i tried messing with my dampers a bit today and no matter what I do it does not change the way the car "wobbles". However it does change the way it handles so I know they seem to be ok. I tried stiff in the rear soft in the front and vise-versa I also tried full stiff and full soft on both front and rear. Im seriously hoping is these bushings. Ill let everyone know how it feels after they are installed.

I thought the lug nuts where supposed to center the wheel on the hub thats why they are shaped like this \ /. do the hub centric rings provide more support?

yes they fill a small gap in the center bore of the rim hub and the the joint on the rotor hub....( excuse my lack of car parts knowlegde). i ordered my wheels from www.wheelsnext.com....and when i got them there was a pamphlet about this issue.....if your wheels came pre ballanced especially from the place you bought them (as most online ordered rims do) they came "lug centric balanced" and you need them to be "hub centrically" ballanced.... at www.justforwheels.com you can select make of rims, car make and model and year and they will show you the part you'll need.....as soon as i hit 60 in my car it shakes like a crack head commin down.....and when i hit like 70 it goes away almost all the way...and any speed pretty much over 25-30 mph on and on/off ramp i "wiggle" too.....

My car doesnt exhibit any of the shaking problems but I still may give these rings a try if the bushings dont help.

Well my car is much more responsive now. I havent had time to hit the freeway so ill know for sure tomorrow if it helped. Also be prepared to pay quite a bit to have both the front and rear installed (more than the bushings cost). I do have one squeak though which im kinda annoyed with, I hope I can find where its comming from so I can lube it (crosses fingers). I got the black bushings hoping they would be quiet. Im loving how much "tighter" the steering feels tho.

you can pick up a set for around $10 or less at just about any wheel shop.... Last two places I went to gave them to me free. but any way , what you are describeing is mostlikely not caused buy uncentered wheels.
