What is this part called?
Hey everyone.
Ok when I first got my civic I did the most ghetto suspension on it. Just tiny adjustable lowering springs. The thing is -I had to cut the perch to make it work (according to the instructions). Well of course the ride SUCKS. So I got some new Eibach Pro srings. Well the perch is now too small to hold my new springs!! I called the dealer and they say i need the whole strut assembly. $128.02 for each. I wanted to make sure this is exactly what im looking for. So what is this part called? I really only need the base part with the perch with the controll arm attachment piece. But does this all come together?

Just get a set of tokico's and call it a day. They want you to buy the whole strut assembly because it is one piece. The shock and the strut aren't separate and that is why they are so expensive.

tokico's? Well, I already bought the Eibach Pro Springs...or will the springs work with the tokicos? (i obviously dont know what tokicos are). And i am trying to save money here by not doing anything crazy.

They are shocks. You should get shocks if you are lowering. Please read the suspension FAQ and the shock/damper thread above. Lowering isn't cheap. Did you get a camber kit? The springs will work with tokicos. They replace the whole shock/strut assembly.

I lowered it a lot a while ago. Everything was totally fine and running smoothly, I had the new camber kit and everything. But I really just need some new springs. These Eibachs that I got are definately going to raise my car (which is kinda what I want). Im sick of having a crappy ride. I want to make it nice and possibly sell it
