I need help from the suspension gurus here..
I'm not sure if this is supposed to go in the wheels/tires section or here in suspension but if it's wrong, I'm sorry and move it. Anyways, here's the deal: I have some sort of alignment issues or something because my car pulls kind of hard to the right BUT only with my rims on. I have 205/40/17 Nitto Neo Gens (which need to be replaced soon but I don't know if that has anything to do with it). I had this same problem last summer but when I put my steel wheels back on with the snow tires, the problem went away.. and then on Saturday, I put my rims on and the problem is back. I have my tires balanced about once a week (I get it done for free), and I got an alignment in September and that didn't fix the problem. I have a lot of suspension issues with my car. I hit a curb with the right front of my car a few years ago and it cost me about $2000 to get everything fixed after that. I got new control arms, sub frame, tie rods, sway bars (I now have eibach sway bars), end links, strut, and some other components that I can't think of off the top of my head. Whenever I go over a bump (bumps like sewer covers) with the passenger side wheel, there's like this loose shaking in the entire car and I can feel it in the steering wheel and I can hear it too(it's not the sway bar end links because I just replaced those and the problem is still there). But when I go over a bump with the driver's side, it's fine. Also when I turn my car all the way to the right, I can hear this ticking. It sounds like when you have a rock stuck in between your wheel cover and your steel wheel. I've gotten both issues checked out at a garage and they couldn't find anything. I'm thinking about going to a different garage but I don't want to spend another $100 for trouble shooting when they don't find anything wrong. So what's up with all this? I'm thinking about getting KYB AGXs with eibach lowering springs but I want these things matters fixed first. What's your opinion?

Jack up the right front corner and wiggle the tire around. See how much play there is in the knuckle. It could be that something is loose and is causing it to flutter or feather as you drive, which may be what you feel. If its just with the tires, you could have a wheel thats dented, egged or off axis that is causing the problem. There's lots that play into it, I don't know if I'd put it on the tires, but I'd be curious of the rims they're on. What are they? I take it by balanced, you had them dynamic balanced or done on a roadforce machine. Might also want to have them checked for straightness if you've pounded them for a while.

Well assuming there is no worn parts and the alignment was good and that your saying it ONLY pulls when you have the customs on try swapping the 2 front tires side to side. If it pulls the other way or goes straight then the problem is one of the tires. From the sounds of it one of your tires has whats called a radial pull, and or is worn to the point that that the wear on the tire is forcing the car that direction. It seems kind of obvious that the problem is the tires if it only pulls with those tires on. Balancing wont effect the car as far as pulling

well I jacked it up and tried to wiggle it around but it doesn't budge at all.. it only pulls with the rims on, but it does the "loose, shaky, when i go over bumps it pisses me off" thing all the time.. any other suggestions guys? Someone said something about how it could be something in the strut?

I already tried that. I know for a fact it has something to do with the rims/tires though because it doesn't do it with my steel wheels/winter tires. If it takes getting new rims, I'll do that. Any ideas on the loose shaky feeling?... Anyone?

I don't think I need the centering rings though because it does it with the stock wheels too (just not as bad). As far as the strut top mount, I have no clue. In suspension talk, I know what components do what, but as far as trouble shooting goes, I'm pretty lost.
