Front suspension problem....

i've installed s-tech springs with koni yellows, now, what happen is that after a while (like few weeks), the top spring seat would scrape againt the chasis, maybe this caused the springs to have the clunking noise when turning, you can see the scratches from the pic. i just can't figure out what the problem is, i'm just about to change the top strut mount & the bearing, to see if it would eliminate the problem, could it be because of the drop? i was thinking if putting washers where i circled would bring the whole strut out a bit. anyone had this prob?

Looks like you didnt have the top spring seat installed right. Did you line up the triangles with the hole on the lower spring perch? Like this:

The top spring perch(seat) is at a slight angle if you look at it closely. You have to make sure that the triangles are lined up with the hole and pointing in towards the engine bay when you put the whole assembly in. If you dont, the top spring perch wont sit flush inside the strut tower housing. This will cause all kind of problems... like camber issues and noises.

yea, i'd read through the other threads, so i did make sure they are lined up. but its usually fine for a few weeks, then the noise would come back. is it due to the faulty bearings? which cause the strut to move few degrees causing to the struts scrub?

It could be the bearing, but the bearing would have to be squished pretty tight for the top spring perch to rub up against the upper part of the tower. I'd take out the bearing and separate it then inspect the ball bearings for out of roundness. Becareful when doing this since the ball bearings tend to fly out. If they look fine, repack them with grease or just buy a new bearing(20 bucks or so). Could also be the top mount or perch is warped, though I dont know how that could happen.

What does the inside of the tower where it rubs look like?
