Lowering my car. I have some questions..
I have a 2dr 2004 Civic LX...right now i have 215/35/18 tires. What would be the lowest drop i can go without it rubbing or modifications...some springs i am looking at are NEUSPEED RACE SPRINGS on ebay...the description says "The amount of drop is 2.25" Front/ 2.0" Rear"...is that a good amount without rubbing or anything. I was going to use my stock shocks for right now.
What other springs would you recomend. Im looking for a 2 inch drop or more. Around $100-$150 price range. Please help me out please. Thanks

I think with even a 2.25" drop all around would be fine with 215/35/18 for sure! Because I have 215/40/18 and I'm tucking front and back with Ground Control coilovers sleeves on stock shocks... And I only rub on the front left wheel when I take hard right turns... So with a 2.25" drop, it would be fine for sure when unless you get a camber kit...
Yes, it's an Acura EL

I think you'll be fine. Overall circumference will be less than stock, 2.25% by this site's tire calculator. Width measurement only differs by 3cm, which is not that huge, and the fact that the circumference on the 18" tires is smaller than the stockers will help this even more.
I rode through last winter with 215/55/16 winter tires, overall 4% increased circumference, and about as wide as the tires you're looking at. Never rubbed once, slammed on H&R sports that were sagging HUGE because they weren't designed for my obese EL.
Keep in mind that wheel offset plays a big role in rubbing too.

You will most likely be fine on the Neuspeed Race. However, your stock shocks are going to die on you pretty quickly. Also, keep in mind that the Neuspeed race are going to ride rougher than the sport. Take this into consideration when deciding on your amount of drop. Also, checkout our Neuspeed sale that we currently have in the groupbuy section.

Just remember, if you are dropped 2"+ on stock shocks, when they blow you would be rubbing a lot more when you hit speedbumps and stuff. Cuz youll be bouncing all over. I would upgrade your shocks if you want to drop that much w/18"s. If I am wrong and you dont bounce that much lower, let me know/correct me on it. That just seems like it would happen a lot more.
whats springs would you recomend getting for a car on 18" with that tire size and with stock shocks? I wasnt looking to replace the shocks for a while. I dont do that much hard driving. Just usally to work which is like 5 min a way and to school which is like 20 min away and just doing basic things. Right now my mom has Tien springs on her civic and the drop looks nice but i want a little bit lower drop. Would the neuspeed sport springs be better? i think it says it has a 1.5 rear and a 1.7 front drop while the teins says it has a 1.3 rear and 1.4. Thanks for the help.
i was also looking at some skunk2 springs someone on here was selling. what about those?

215-35-18 with neuspeed race would look sick and yeah it wouldnt rub but the ride is going to be pretty badd. It was badd even with my 215-40-18s. Thats why I ended up with getting full coilovers.. you know what they say, its pays the costs to be the boss
but yeah as far as rubbing, dont worry about it, you wont rub at all
