Rep Power: 292 Tie rod end question *FIXED*
What is the easiest way to get the tie rod end off? I need to replace mine as I am a dumbass and damaged the threads.
I was able to muscle it off, and put the new tie rod end on, yippeee!!

Rep Power: 310 I'm not sure, but how did you damage the threads? From experience I know that tie rods are pretty strong. They just basically unscrew off.

Rep Power: 393 -keep the whole strut in place
-loosen the nut thats right next to the tie rod
-remove the tie rod from the strut using a tie rod puller(not seperator) you can rent it from autozone for free
-now take off the tie rod by turning it(count how many turns it takes to take it off).
-put on the new tie rod with the number of turns you got from above.
and hopefully you know the rest...

Rep Power: 310 use some liquid wrench or WD40 lubricant. Hold the tie rod with a wrench and hold the bolt with a wrench, Twist in different ways to get it loose. Brace your wrench on something and try to knock it loose.
