how much for springs install?

How much would/should it cost to have some springs installed? I'd do it myself, but I no longer have a garage (I live in an apartment), and I'm a bit scared of mucking something up...Great DIY by Mex, though.

man, even if you do live in an apt (i do too), you should just find a friend or something who has a house and do it yourself. It really is not a big deal and well worth saving the money.

I'm in San Diego, Clarence Brown wanted almost $600.00 to install the four springs that's just labor, I got it done at another place they quoted me $200.00, but after they installed them the rear was too high, 50 bucks more they removed the rear springs, cut two links off each, that was perfect. so $250.00, it took them about three hours too, that would have taken me all day.

^ when you first install springs, it may seem a bit high... but after a while the spring will settle down and get lower.. I dont think you shouldve cut part of the spring off

yeah but you should have seen it after it came off the rack the front fender was an inch from the tire the back fender has over 3 inches from the tire. now it's perfect., Have yet to bottom out the car used to feel like a cadillac, now it feels like a Beamer. I got no complaints.
