Coilovers

I was curious to know if people think its really worth getting coilovers if your not gunna replace the stock shocks and struts because i was looking into getting coilovers but i still want good ride quality so its not torcher to use as a daily driver. Let me know what you think

If you only replace the springs and not the OE shocks, your ride quality will suffer. Maybe not today or next week, but eventually. Lowering the car with only springs will blow the shocks. IMO...Do it right the first time. Save for a good set of full coilovers.

The teins come with new shocks and stuts dont they? So i should definatly wait until i can get coilovers and shocks at the same time?

Yeah...Tein's are one of a few companies that make a good coilover set-up. If you are not dying to drop your car...I would wait.

B&G, Tokico...there are a few more. Do a search for "full coilovers" and read away.

TEIN or B&G, B&G drops lower while TEIN has damper adjustability. What is important to you?

RedDragon333 will become famous soon enough
Tein is a good one to go with, Hayame, B&G there a re a few others but those are some of the better full coil over systems for our car.

Koni sports with Ground Control coil over is also a good set up beside Tein. To save you time & money, just replace the shocks. The OE shocks will wear out a lot faster using a coil over or any aftermarket lowering springs.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the 2001-2003 Civic is using the 50mm OE struts & the 2004 & up is using the 55mm OE struts from the Acura RSX. I think that's the only difference. I'm not sure if there is anything else that's different though.

TssCivic, from what I gathered from this site, the 2002(later batches) and 2003 up uses the 55mm struts.

I have KW Variant 2 Full Coilovers. 2 thumbs up. Lot of height adjustment and rebound all on a Stainless Steel coilover. Can't beat it.
