close to stock? Why would you spend that kind of money for a "close to stock" ride. Civics, although they come with a decent suspension, are very bouncy and have a very rigid ride. You should have just put on some ProKits if you didn't want to change much. You could have done those easily yourself and saved about a grand.

I'd go with Konis if you've got the extra cash. I've only heard good things about them.

I personally didn't like them. I guess this is one bad that you're hearing about Koni. Yeah, they are suppose to be some great quality stuff, but my front inserts blew within 2 1/2 months. I swapped them out for the B&G coilovers. Tokicos were definately in the question too. I guess I just wanted to be able to adjust my ride height. Tokicos have had pretty good reviews from everyone that has them on this site. They are more for street driving. Konis are more for autox/track use. It's was too stiff for me even on the softest setting.

I like how mine handle. When i drive to and from work my rear end would bounce up and down. My rear end would also go flying around the corners. I'm not sure how they compare to stock, but compared to blown struts they are great. With my blown struts driving over a manhole cover would feel like I hit a landmine. I have tokicos and h&r springs. Now my car can corner at much higher speeds. Driving at higher speeds also feels more stable. Driving on rough roads is still liveable. Now I just wish I had better tires so the ones I have now won't squel so much around corners.

What's the $$ diference more or less between the two?
I was thinking on getting the Tokikos next...

Konis cost more. Also didn't mention that you'll need to cut the strut housing cuz they are inserts and not a full replacement like the tokicos.

Do them yourself. The susp. on our cars is very simple. Just get ahold of a decent jack and jack stands. Do one wheel at a time if you have to. Paying labor for the install is a waste, when you can do it for free in about 5 hours for your first time.

Yea I've heard Tokicos are very easy to install while Konis are somewhat a pain in the AZZZZ.

I live about an hour west of Dallas, (west side of fort worth). The springs are easy to install. Just make sure you be careful with the front struts. Put them in the exact way they came out and make sure you don't break open the little bearing ring that sits on top or else little ball bearings will go everywhere. There's actually a DIY on springs around here somewhere. Look around for it.

BTW, what springs did you get?

I have had my Tokico's for about 3 weeks. I love them. I do a lot of street driving and a short 8 mile stretch of highway everyday. They were a HUGE improvement over the stock struts. My ride was super bouncy on my sportline springs. Now the car rides smooooth.

if tokicos are full replacement, do they come with an upper mount? My struts click/crack every time I turn the wheel. Would these come with whatever I need to stop that? I could buy these in about a week if so????

They are a full replacement but you reuse your upper mounts.
