Hey all...I'd like your help on deciding which sleved coilover to put in my 02 lx....I already searched much but the info I found was not really what I was looking for.... Currently I have the neuspeed Sport springs in my coupe..theyre Ok IMO after a year and a half of having them on the car they are stillsag free...the only gripe about them that I have is that the passenger side front seems to be a bit higher than the drivers side front...i heard that this is because the pass side weighs more...that is why i want sleeved coilovers so I can even the both sides out....now I done a lil searching and most people say that Dropzone is poop, so are most of the other ebay brands....so waht do you guys think? Skunk2 or GC??
has anybody every hurd of otto racing coilovers? i can get 4 coilovers and shocks all together for only 90 bux at my car team's shop. i get a huge discount on everything...anyways. i have a friend with an rsx with these coilovers and they ride pretty good, but i was just wondering how these would feel on our civics. anybody that have these have any suggestions?

sounds cheap...only sleeved ones i'll get are Ground Controls.....imma be upgrading to B&G's soon though.
i've got the skunk2's and like them, but they don't go as low in the rear as GC's...which, i would have preferred....if you're going to spend the 300 bucks for them, you might as well save another couple hundred and get some aftermarket shocks too...mine blew the first night out and i went with koni's(PAIN IN THE ***) and they improved everything but were a royal pain to install(insert fronts!!!)...
why not full coilovers? your gonna end up spending money on shocks anyways so might as well wait little longer and purchase some full coilovers.
i'd personally stay with the springs for now and wait til the day comes..
but IF i had to choose, it'd be ground control cause their quality **** compared to skunk2. i have skunk2 and ^sw388integra pretty much said it. rear doesnt go so low, but low enough for me. and i dont think ground controls make that noise when you steer?

Aftermarket Koni shocks are really expensive, but I think Tokico has made some shocks for our cars finally and are sold in the groupbuy section.
Ground Control and new shocks will cost you about $700 bucks. If you on a really low budget, just get the Hayame full coil-over. But if I was you, I'd save another $200 and get either B&G or Tein Basics. Those are the more known brands on the site that have worked fairly well. There are a couple of other coil-overs in that price range and are sold in our groupbuy section, but our members have not had much experience with them.
All of these guys and I will tell you to get full coil-overs because your shocks will most likely blow out soon with ground controls or skunks. Therefore, you might as well buy a real full coil-over setup instead of buying shocks later. It will cost pretty much the same and you will have a more reliable suspension.

Get ground control. If you look at the skunks and look at the GC's, you can see that the skunks are wound really close together so your ride isn't going to be as good as the GC's. My buddy has them on his Civic and they are great. He used to have skunks before them.

but ****, i was FLAT back then. but its good to hear my stock shocks arent blown *knocks on wood* stay with the springs if you're happy with the ride height. The reason your passenger side is higher is because the driver side shock is blown, and therefore the spring rests a tiny bit higher. I have the same problem, I have neuspeed race springs, and the right rear sits higher than the left rear. I blew out the right rear shock, and it evened out. just get aftermarket shocks and you'll be fine.....Unless of course you wanna go lower.

If you have koni all around, then yes, they will ride nice. By nice, I mean it will have a very "sporty" ride similar to that of a stock 350z.

Dude, when you buy ground controls and Konis, your gonna be spending the kind of money close to a full coil over setup. But I didn't know the Koni and GC setup rode like a 350Z. If that was the case, I would understand your preference for them. A 350Z rides incredibly smooth and I would have never thought GC's Eibach springs would be able to produce that kind of a ride.

You shouldn't need custom spring rates. They're pretty freakin stiff for an off the shelf product...and if you don't want your *** end sagging cause of your system, then raise the rear. Coilover sleeves are adjustable in height.
