quick Q about Koni Shcks

Is it true that u have to make some modifications while installing Koni shocks on 2001 coupe? i went to a store today, and they said they had to use OEM shock casing.. cut it and replace wit Konis .... im confuse noww.. i dont wanna throw my OEM shock away...any suggestions? do i have any other options? should i go wit different setup... cuz i think if this is a deadend... then i might as well get B&G Coilovers

You can go with the Tokico Blue if you want to. That's the only other options besides coilovers. B&G is an excellent choice. I got my from Street Level Performance for only $900 shipped. Haven't had a chance to get them installed yet though. BTW, it is true that you have cut the strut housing cuz that's what I'm riding now til I get the B&G on.

No prob. man. You can actually get a set of Tokicos for like around $370 shipped or something like that. I haven't looked into the pricing of them since I already made my mind to get B&G. The only thing about the Tokicos is that they aren't adjustable.

If you have a 01 then there's no mods required. As for me, I have an 03. I also ordered the 01 upper mounts. I will need to drill the holes to 16mm and that's the only actual mod that I need to do. You won't need anything seeing you own an 01.

The Konis are suprisingly easy to install.. it just sounds hard.
