Question about lowering and insurance
Hey, people. I'm coming very close to getting the Tein S-tech's from StreetLevelPerformance; however, in convincing the dad, I came across a question I could not answer: if I get into an accident, can my insurance [AAA] refuse me coverage because I did not tell them about my new springs? I doubt they can, but I need verification.
Thanks for the help.

depends on the company. they might refuse to pay for something you didn't tell them about if it is destroyed, but denying your claim? no. my insurance will cover jacked stuff (radio, amps etc.) as long as i have reciepts or boxes for it.
Some insurance companies will cover after market parts if they exceed a certain value and you've given them a copy of the receipt as a proof of purchase. What you should be doing is calling your insurance company about it.

basically most insurance companies will only pay for original factory parts if you get into an accident. It is not there responsibility to pay for aftermarket parts that you put on. It will be up to them if they want to or not.
