Strut tower and strut bar problem!
The bolt threaded on the strut tower - the worse part about it is that the nut is holding my Neuspeed upper tie bar on the car and I need to get the strut off. I'm guessing I could disconnect the strut from the strut tower but I still need to get it off.
Any suggestions? I'm willing to rip the bar off the car. I'm not worried about putting the strut back on the car so the bolt for me is expendable but the strut bar is not.

How is that cuz the stud that the nut is on is pretty much integral to the strut top. Are you sure that you are using the right size socket? I have the same bar, and have replaced my front struts with no problem. Also, are you making sure that the front of the vehicle is unloaded (no weight on the front wheels)? That could cause some difficulty. Other than that, i dont know what your talkin about????

Let's start over...
The uppermount on the strut, that goes into the strut tower is held on by 14mm nuts.
I tried putting one nut on the bolt and it ended up cross threading the bolt to the upper mount.
Now the nut won't come off. Make more sense?

ok, it makes sense now, but i stil don't see how it is spinning, it should just come right back off......anyways if it won't come off at all, then u are gonna have to cut it off with a hacksaw like i said above. The upper mount stud and nut are already ruined.

SlammedBlueEM2, if you keep trying, you may never secure the strut top again. And I think you can never take that out without replacing the strut top bolt of the Hayame. Its already cross-threaded as you said.
I wish I have a solution. GL.

Well, I resorted to taking it to a shop. They were going to charge me for the hour to remove it ($105) so I asked the dealer to do it and they did it for nearly 1/2 the price ($55).
My other options were to drive to a friend's house to get it done but my car is not in a safe driving condition due to other Hayame issues. I'd have to cross too many cities to reach him and the dealer was closer. Bleh.
Anyway, it is off and I can finally return my V2 Hayames.

Not even - no more stuff from Japan. If something goes wrong you still have to wait forever and 6 months unless their manufacturer also resides in the U.S. or the distributor has parts on hand.
No more new products on the market... that's why I own a 2002.
B&G is the future.

B&G, you wont go wrong with them. I thought you said no more overseas product for you? But just as long its not made in China, then you should be fine.

To tell the truth, before I ordered them, I did not know where they were made. But they've been out long enough unlike Hayame. I guess I can't have everything although Hayame gave me an Everything Or Nothing attitude.
